Len Monfredo
Executive Producer
Len Monfredo is an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and mechanical contractor with a passion for film projects that shine the light on underserved and overlooked communities.
During his college years, Len co-founded a New York-based scenery and general contracting company specializing in the fashion, film and tv industry. He spearheaded these companies for 20 years and both still exist to this day.
Since 2009, Len has directed the growth and modernization of the family-owned, fifth-generation mechanical contracting company started in 1891. With his leadership, EM Duggan has expanded its capabilities from plumbing, HVAC, fire protection intoelectrical, service, special projects, water treatment, and technology. Len is proud to oversee more than 500 employees across the New England region and deeply values every one of them, a culture known throughout the industry as “the Duggan way.”
Though he made a career shift to mechanical contracting, his history and passion for filmmaking continues and inspired him to executive produce Americonned. Thisdocumentary explores the housing crisis, labor unions, economic pressures, political policies and the modern American workforce. His current project with a working title of More than a Medal focuses on the hardships and heroic spirit of refugee athletes, andencompasses Len’s dedication to sharing their stories.
Len holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising and Marketing from the School of Visual Arts in New York City and completed Fine Art studies at Queens College NY.
Outside of work, Len is a devoted husband and dedicated father. He is active in charitable initiatives and serves on several boards, as well as committees for various charities across New England.
